Join us to celebrate the first World REnew Day!

  • It is the time to declare a 100% renewable energy supply the new normal!
  • It is time to give absolute priority to renewable energy!
  • It is time for a new culture and lifestyle - based on renewable energy!

People from different fields and from all around the world have agreed to jointly create a day on which they will celebrate the achievements and the benefits of a renewable energy world.

Initiated by the Global100%Renewable Energy Platform and by Renewable Energy Ambassador Ruslana, the world’s first World REnew Day will be announced on the occasion of June solstice, in partnership with FridaysForFuture and supported by a large number of organisations from civil society, the renewable energy community, local governments and science.

The official launch ceremony will take place on 22 June starting from 15 h, at the UN Campus in Bonn, in parallel with the UN Climate Change Conference SB50, directly at the SB50 venue.

People around the world are invited to join us in celebrating the World REnew Day:

  • by coming to Bonn on 22 June 2019
  • by organising an event in their home town to celebrate World REnew Day
  • by joining the World Renew Day movement by signing the World Renew Day resolution

The World Renew Day 2019 celebrations will include:

  • Speakers from around the world highlighting the urgency of the switch to renewables and the benefits of such a move. The list of speakers is permanently updated on the World REnew Day homepage.
  • Artists including ESC winner and Global100RE Ambassador Ruslana or renowned Pakistani singer Arieb Azhar performing as part of a new renewable lifestyle.
  • Additional street art activities around the World Conference Center Bonn.

Everybody is invited to join the launch of World REnew Day in Bonn, it will be a free, open air demonstration sending a strong signal to the world that the future belongs to renewable energy.
